Christmas In The Oaks: The Alligator

This year my wife and I decided to go to Celebration in the Oaks while in New Orleans for the holidays this year. This takes place annually in City Park during the holiday season. While there are rides year-round for the children, which still operate at night during the event,  they decorate throughout the park with Christmas Lights and decorations.

In Louisiana, Santa Clause is some times referred to as Père Noël, and instead of eight reindeer he has eight alligators. In that theme there was an Alligator made from Christmas Lights at the entrance to the park. I figured it was a good way to kick off the Christmas series.
