Throwback Photo: Flooded Fields

This picture was taken in  2010 while visiting Havana Illinois. They had just started their wetland reclamation project and the fields on both sides of the raised road had started to refill with water and wildlife. When the snows came that winter the water froze over in and around the tree lines. Between the blowing snow that day and the grey light I ended up with a surreal image showing very little contrast with the exception of cleared circles of ice, and the trees rising from the water.
