Twelve years ago I traveled to South Africa with a group of Clemson Engineering students to install and set up water purification systems near Kruger National Park. We originally landed in Pretoria and from there we drove up to the research center for Wits in Kruger National Park.
After a couple weeks up in Kruger National Park we drove to Durban, and then flew to Cape Town. While in Cape Town we spent a couple days meeting with the government officials that had helped to enable our work.
While there, Cape Town was going through one of its rainiest seasons in years, leaving us to hike and travel everywhere in the rain. On one of our off days, we had the opportunity to hike Table Mountain, and as we crested the ridge the clouds finally started to break off in the distance. I was lucky enough to capture this shot with my 35mm film point-and-shoot.
